Orlando - - The Judges of the Ninth Judicial Circuit continue their Judicial outreach program by holding a Judicial/African American Town Hall meeting. The Town Hall will be held at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 412 East Kennedy Boulevard, Eatonville, on Wednesday, September 4, 2002 at 7:00 p.m.
The event is designed to provide a forum for Judges and members of the community to come together to discuss issues and concerns of our judicial system.
Join us for an opportunity to meet the Judges, learn about some of the many court programs available to the community and have your questions about the judicial system answered. "It’s a chance to hear what a targeted audience feels about the role of the Judiciary and a chance for the Judges to give the Court’s perspective," stated Circuit Judge Bob Wattles, who has been instrumental in establishing the targeted Town Hall meeting. Chief Judge Belvin Perry, Jr. noted, "Judges are educators and communicators. Meetings such as this one give us a chance to meet residents and learn how they view our courts."
The event is free and open to the public. To RSVP call 407-836-2380. For more information about court-sponsored programs, contact Karen Levey, Director of Communications and Public Affairs for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, at 407-836-2047.
